
Dr. Kersley ‘Kwesi’ Peters is an educator and researcher with a Doctorate in Education, specializing in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Toronto; MSc, Economics and Development (SNHU); M.A., Adult Education (CMU); BEd, (UofT); B.R.S. (Tyndale University).
He has worked for the past 30 years in education as a teacher and Adjunct professor. He is a certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist, Coach, and Therapeutic Family Mediator. With a wealth of experience, including 17 years in senior management in social development and human services, he is the Founder and Executive Director of the Career Resource and Education Centre in Toronto.
He has worked extensively in humanitarian work in Africa and the Caribbean. His focus has been on education, social development, and mental health. He aims to empower high-achieving but financially struggling students in Africa and the Caribbean, helping bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. He currently serves as a Canadian mentor for Open Dreams scholars.
Driven by a profound belief in education's transformative power, he dedicates himself to roles as a teacher, mentor, researcher, and advocate for social justice.
Dr. Peters is the proud father of a son, Dwayne and two grandsons, Malachi and Elijah.
